Things to Do This Summer in Michigan

Michigan is a small state of exquisite beauty and with lots of things to see and do – here are some:

  • Manistee River Overnight Campout – if you love water sports and camping, the trip on the river will take you to scenic spots. The tours depart from Mesick and are led by experienced guides, so paddling with them is perfectly safe for kids and adults alike.
  • Visit the Henry Ford Museum – a must-see place for auto enthusiasts, but not only. The museum located in Detroit’s Dearborn suburb has exciting exhibits that tell not only the story of the automobile, but of lots of other innovations as well. The museum regularly features special programs for kids and families, but simply walking around it is just as great.
  • Visit Dow Gardens – a gem hidden in Midland, the garden established in 1899 is open all year, but it is at its most beautiful in summer. Kids will have a great time finding their way out of the maze called Children’s Garden, while adults can take in the beauty of the quaint pathways lined with trees and flowers, some of which are unique to the Garden.
  • Go biking – the state of Michigan has over 100 biking trails, each of them spectacular. Choose a trail that suits your level of fitness and enjoy the scenery.

As you go around town, you will see the neighborhoods are kept up.  The experience of a Lansing roofing company is noticeable in just about every community.  Having communities who care for their property and keep it maintained really makes a difference.
